What I’m Doing Now
This is a now page. It’s a snapshot of what’s going on in my life right now.
Last Updated: February 2026.
OffChance
I’m spending most of my time growing OffChance, our Houston-based studio and holding company where we create profitable, thoughtful brands built around how people actually want to live and work.
We focus on sustainability over scale, centralizing operations where it makes sense, and building brands that fit into real life. We’re continuing to launch and refine projects across retail, e-commerce, hospitality, and creative services. A big piece of this year is integrating Supercrush after its acquisition, tightening systems and logistics so the brand can move from recovery mode into sustainable growth.
Somco Capital & RemoTeams
Through Somco Capital, we’re developing commercial real estate that supports our brands instead of relying on traditional landlords. After years of making others rich, we decided to control the spaces where our ideas live. I’ve also been studying real estate private equity frameworks as we think about what raising outside capital could look like down the road.
In parallel, RemoTeams continues to power all of our companies by giving small teams access to world-class remote talent. The integration between Somco, OffChance, and RemoTeams is what lets us move quickly and build long-lasting businesses.
DOMO Cafe
A major focus right now is Domo, our mindful cafe and hospitality concept. Construction is well underway on the 4,200-square-foot space, and we’re pushing toward our March 2026 opening date. Getting Domo open and operational is one of my top goals for the year.
Domo is more than a cafe to me. It’s a physical manifestation of the broader OffChance philosophy, and it will be one of the first fully integrated examples of our ecosystem, combining our real estate, hospitality vision, and brand philosophy under one roof.
Junto House
Junto House is now open, and we’re welcoming founding members into our co-working space inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s original Junto club. My wife Morgan and I are both working on-site, building this community alongside our members.
The space is designed for founders, creatives, and entrepreneurs who value community, thoughtful design, and meaningful connection. The long-term plan is to grow it into a social work club with curated events and eventually launch Junto Stays, a set of small, highly curated retreat properties.
Refining the Philosophy
My work is still centered around one idea: the world is better when interesting people can do interesting things. That’s why we build bootstrapped businesses, create physical spaces for creative work, and share our wins and mistakes openly. After navigating acquisitions and volatility, this year is about moving away from reaction and toward intention. Stabilization, growth, and finding a consistent rhythm in both work and life.
Life Outside Work
Outside of the businesses, I’m spending time traveling with my wife and our three kids. Travel is a non-negotiable priority for us. We believe that exposing our children to the world at a young age is one of the best investments we can make in their development.
Most recently, we took a nine-day trip to Bordeaux and Lisbon over Christmas. The highlight was visiting a vineyard estate in the French countryside where my kids drove little electric jeeps around the property while we did a wine tasting. We even survived a Michelin-starred dinner with all three of them.
I want my kids to grow up comfortable in unfamiliar places and surrounded by ideas bigger than their own backyard.
THE END.
